Steelers fans, huddle up.
The National Football League has announced that Pittsburgh was selected to host the 2026 NFL Draft. The decision was announced at the NFL’s annual Spring League Meeting in Nashville in May.
According to a statement made by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the draft is “one of the biggest, most-anticipated sporting events of the year, and we’re thrilled to partner with the Pittsburgh Steelers and VisitPITTSBURGH for our 2026 event.”
Founded in 1933, the Steelers are tied with the New England Patriots for most Super Bowl wins in the NFL. “Sixburgh” has hosted the NFL Draft once before — in 1948, at the Fort Pitt Hotel.
The 2026 NFL Draft will most likely take place right outside of Acrisure Stadium, where the Steelers have played since 2001. During the three-day event, Pittsburgh will host a variety of activities, including a concert series and the NFL Draft Experience, which is free for fans and includes opportunities to play games, take photos with the Vince Lombardi trophy, purchase exclusive merchandise, and more.
The draft, which has over 50 million viewers worldwide, will be the perfect chance for the Steel City to display its many attractions and establish itself as a travel destination.
Steelers president Arthur Rooney II said in a statement that “this will be an amazing event that will highlight everything the region has to offer on a national and international level.”
The 2025 NFL Draft presented by Bud Light will take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin.se they were hit by a distracted motorist.”
