Those looking to show off their Pittsburgh pride now have a sweet, new way to do so. Perry’s Ice Cream’s personalized flavor, Bucco Batter, is now available at Giant Eagle.

As the official ice cream of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Perry’s Ice Cream is giving fans a new way to support their team. A portion of the proceeds of each sale will be donated to the Pirates Charities, which supports youth programs focused on health, fitness and education.  

“When crafting Bucco Batter, we wanted the flavor to be delicious and innovative while paying homage to the team and dedicated Pirates fans”, said Nichole Buryta, Senior Brand Manager of Perry’s Ice Cream. “The yellow cake batter ice cream with crushed crème filled cookies gives fans a new way to show off their spirit for the gold and black all summer long!”

The Settler’s Ridge Market District Giant Eagle will be hosting a launch event this Friday, June 21 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with Pirates player Connor Joe and the Pirate Parrot. The first 100 people to purchase a carton of Bucco Batter at the store during the event will receive a Perry’s Ice Cream and Pirates branded ice cream scoop.

Those outside the Pittsburgh area can order Bucco Batter online at shop.perrysicecream.com.
