A new, state-of-the-art Crunch Fitness location operated by franchisee Fitness Ventures LLC is set to open in Pleasant Hills at the end of this month.

All 45,000 square feet of the gym have been renovated, according to a release, with $1 million of fitness equipment installed. Amenities will include babysitting, personal training, massage chairs and tanning beds.

Starting Thursday, June 13, prospective members can tour the club and enroll at a discounted rate of $9.99 per month. The first 500 to sign up will receive extra perks including their first month free and discounted personal training rates. The club will open for workouts on Friday, June 28.

Fitness Ventures, which was founded in 2016, is one of the fastest-growing franchisees in the Crunch Fitness system. It also owns and operates a McKnight Road location in addition to over 46 other clubs nationwide. Boston-area private equity firm Prospect Hill Growth Partners owns a majority stake in the company.

“We believe that fitness should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, and our goal is to provide a welcoming and inclusive space where people of all fitness levels can come together to achieve their goals,” said Brian Hibbard, CEO of Fitness Ventures. “By expanding our presence in Pleasant Hills, we are providing even more opportunities for residents to prioritize their health and wellness.”

In addition to heath benefits, the release emphasizes how the new location will economically benefit the Pleasant Hills community by creating job opportunities and attracting club members to the area.
